Discography section[edit]

Am removing the following until someone can come up with the recording date and the name of the actual album/CD to include it on the list (without the reference to the clarinet, which belongs elsewhere):

Fred Rizner has recorded this concerto together with K. 447 with the English Chamber Orchestra conducted by José Luis García Asensio on a Summit disc which also includes the Clarinet Concerto, K. 622 (with clarinetist Joaquin Valdepeñas).

It makes sense to demand year of recording for classical albums. To demand album name verges on silliness. Names of classical albums tend to be spectacularly dull. "Mozart: Horn Concerto 1 & 4." Or "Mozart Das Samtliche Blasernkonzerte." And what do you have against the clarinet? True, its players aren't as cool as hornists, but still, isn't it interesting that they chose the Clarinet Concerto and not another Horn Concerto, or a Violin Concerto, or a random assortment of overtures? Taking it from the bottom, the clarinet has no place in a Wikipedia article on Mozart's Horn Concerto No. 4. I happen to love and have played the clarinet for many years, so any possible prejudice I may have is not the reason for excluding it here. Whilst on that note, the folks who put together recordings often have criteria other than suitability of one piece or another. Secondly, any apparent silliness is not a valid reason for omitting the album name when listing recordings. Catalogues, among other publications, tend to rely on them in order to separate similar items. Dullness doesn't enter into it - this is an encyclopaedia, not an artistic review. And finally, the list is standard Wikipedia format for discographies, though there's nothing in the guidelines preventing editors from writing about notable recordings at greater length in the body of the article. Just one other thing, The "Karajan recording" was released under Dennis Brain's name (with his boat race taking up a full quarter of the front cover) and with Karajan's name in much smaller print.
