Page name
It seems that the correct title of this page is "Hope Channel", without the definite article ("The"). -Colin MacLaurin 11:42, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
DirecTV
Hi I noticed that someone keeps adding this channel to List of DirecTV channels on channel 368. I am a DirecTV customer and I can't find this network on my lineup at this position or any other. Do you have a reliable source that says DirecTV currently has this channel, or has plans to add it in the future? TomCat4680 (talk) 12:18, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
- I don't know where I can find it, but from what I heard, it is going to happen. Search Adventist sources you'll probably find something. HkCaGu (talk) 14:25, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well until then, adding unsourced "future" information is a violation of Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, so either provide a reliable source or don't bother adding it. Also the statement "from what I heard" is clearly original research and some may consider it weasel words. Just letting you know policies so we can avoid an edit war and false positive vandalism warnings. TomCat4680 (talk) 14:39, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
- I wasn't accusing you of anything specifically, I was just advising everyone of policy. Someone added the info on List of DirecTV channels twice after I reverted it (I didn't say it was you). I'm just trying to avoid 3RR's and false positive vandalism warnings if the information IS true and verifiable. Also if a channel isn't on the system yet BUT you have a reliable source that it will be in the FUTURE, it goes under the List of DirecTV channels#Future DirecTV channels section, and NOT in the main channel list, until it has been officially added to the system.TomCat4680 (talk) 14:59, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

- That information says it will be added April 29. Case in point. I'll add it to the Future channel section now and move it to present channel list on that date.
