Ellie[edit]

This episode re-states the fact that Ellie is not Brass' daughter (like in Ellie (CSI). Should this be mentioned in the summary, or is that too much of a spoiler? It is further discussed in this episode that Brass believes that Ellie's real father is the dirty cop that Brass' ex-wife had an affair with (and it is hinted that the dirty cop knows about this, but hasn't tried to be a father to Ellie at all). Brass and his ex-mistress Annie Kramer discuss this toward the end of the episode. Brass has always been Ellie's acting father, but he has always known that he has no biological link with Ellie.
