Passenger service[edit]

This article has some problems. It says that Santa Fe served as late as 1968 (and by implication up to 1971). Which train? It wasn't the Super Chief/El Capitan, per [1]. The Grand Canyon stopped there [2] but then the Grand Canyon stopped everywhere. I've spot-checked a bunch of old Amtrak timetables I don't see Holbrook listed on any of them. Holbrook's just 30 miles from Winslow; it wouldn't make sense to stop there. Mackensen (talk) 12:53, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There are two articles in the Kingman Daily Miner [3] [4] which make it sound like the Southwest Limited stopped at Holbrook, but if you check the timetables for that period [5] [6] Holbrook isn't listed. I can't account for the discrepancy but I'm inclined to trust Amtrak on this question. Holbrook would certainly have "lost" service if the train was re-routed off the Santa Fe main line, but I don't think anything stopped here. Mackensen (talk) 13:03, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
