Premiered in January 1961 (not September 1960)[edit]

Hokey Wolf premiered as a segment on the Huckleberry Hound show in January 1961, not September 1960 as stated in this article and other online sources. Yogi Bear was spun off as a separate series in January 1961, and that's when Hokey Wolf replaced the Yogi cartoons on Huck's show. When the third season shows began repeating, shows from earlier in the season (which had first featured a Yogi Bear cartoon) now had a Hokey Wolf cartoon in that spot instead.

Here is an online reference to back this up: Contrary to “facts” on some internet sites, Yogi did not leave The Huckleberry Hound Show before he got his own. Huck apparently made his third season start on the week of September 26, 1960. From the limited television listings I’ve found, it seems new Yogi cartoons aired on shows when Huck and the Meeces were in reruns and vice-versa. When Yogi left, Hokey Wolf (né Wacko Wolf) took his spot, as Bill and Joe borrowed from themselves to create a tall schemer with a short, more naïve sidekick. http://yowpyowp.blogspot.com/2011/01/yogi-bear-anniversaire.htmlTooterTurtle (talk) 22:17, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Which character came first?[edit]

Possibly related to the above clarification: The Hokey article seems to contradict itself as far as whether Yogi (the character) preceded Hokey (the character), or vice versa. Can this be cleared up by someone who knows the facts? Jcejhay (talk) 23:38, 26 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Boobs In The Woods" cartoon title is erroneous[edit]

There were 28 Hokey Wolf cartoons. The erroneous listing of "Boobs In The Woods" is actually an alternate or working title for "Bean Pod'ners."
