Why is there nothing about the "miracle wheat" and court cases against the leaders?
Why is there nothing in this page about how the leader was trying to sell phony "miracle wheat" (high-yield) to farmers? And how the second leader was in a court case in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada for his claims. He claimed to know ancient Greek, but when handed a Greek Bible, admitted he didn't even know the Greek alphabet. Not knowing ancient Greek is not a crime, of course, but representing yourself as able to read the New Testament in original languages is. He was also condemned for his 2 adulterous liaisons and general ill-treatment of his wife. Why isn't any of this in there?

Books dealing with the history of the Witnesses give only minimal attention to the miracle wheat saga, which has more to do with Russell than his religion. Penton (p.43) claims JJ Ross's charge that Russell perjured himself is a distortion of the truth. He says the lawyer asked Russell, "Do you know the Greek alphabet?" Russell answered, "Oh, yes." Penton says he made no claim to knowing more of Greek or any other language than that. In any event, the incident is of little importance in an article on the history of a religion.
