Hey guys, I honestly think that whole Martha McPhee thing was a dud. Go and Google "Ebiz Entertainment" and see what you get. Let's look at the forum source closely.

"Hollywood Records is planning to release about 5 singles from Duff's next compilation, out of which the second single has already come out, and the first one (With Love) has been previewed on national television."

What is the supposed second single? I thought it is With Love. And the link to the website does not work. Take a look at this line.

Hilary Duff and Lip syncing

She's been lip-synching for her entire career

How would you know? Do you even know her? and do you have a reliable source? I don't think you do.

What are you 5? Can't you take any hints from her digitally-enhanced voice? Can a normal human voice sound like that "live"? I don't think so. The evidence speaks for itself. Look under "Lip-Synching on MTV's New Year's Bash" and "Lip-Synching on 2003 AMAs and 2006 AMAs" Hilary's been lip-synching for quite a long time, her voice coach even admitted on E! that she used background music to carry out her live performances. Her fans even admit that her music is ELECTRONIC, you don't think she uses synthesizers and today's latest technology to make her voice sound better? Her songs are polished to the point where its impossible to perform live

So! She still doesn't lip synch. And maybe Hilary Duff is a really good singer live, can't you accept the fact that she is a great singer. The only time I know when she didn't sing is in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, when her voice was combined with another. She was only accused of lip synching, and the person who told that rumor had an incorrect thought, not a fact.


Wrong. She is a professional lip-syncher. She hardly performs any live performances without the assistance of background music. If your reading comprehension isn't so good, I suggest you to re-read what I posted a couple of more times before commenting back. Its a fact that she lip-synched on MTV's New Years Bash and its a fact that she lip-synched during the 2003 AMAs and 2006 AMAs. I would not be posting if these events never happened. Hilary's music is DIGITAL what does that mean? It means a computer did it for her.

You do not have PROOF for you theory. If you have ACTUAL PROOF, I would believe you. So, to make others believe this theory, please have PROOF. And proof is actually Hilary saying that she has been lip syching. Hiary has in fact been caught lip-syncing 17 times. She states that she had a sore throat, but you be the judge.

I know she said in an article that she never did, and I know about the MTV New Year's thing, and both are notable.... But at the same time, I don't think anyone wants an edit war, so.... I don't think she has been lip syching ALL her life

She hasn't been lipsynching at all. I went and saw her live twice, and her words and her mouth went together perfectly. Besides that, her voice in song sounds just like I've always heard it on TV and in movies. She's not Lindsay Lohan or Ashlee Simpson, so don't get it twisted. Bigman17 05:13, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Not sure about Ashlee Simpson, but Lindsay Lohan has had more live performances than Hilary Duff (on television, at least; she sounds mediocre live, by the way). Most of Hilary's TV performances are clearly lip-synched. Which doesn't mean that she can't sing live or that she doesn't have true live performances (I guess she sang With Love live on Good Morning America - and it sounded really worse than what you hear on CD), but she does lip-synch a lot.

It has been confirmed that Hilary lip-synched during some of the live performances for her first album - Metamorphosis - because there was a lot of jumping around to do. However, she has gone for vocal lessons to strengthen her voice after that and so now does not lip synch, even on her latest tour.Ruwanshaun (talk) 11:28, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

Middle Name

What exactly is Duff's middle name. several sources say Erhard something, BUT, in a program from her most wanted tour, Duff's mother declared that it was Ann.Kiwidude 16:42, September 3, 2005 (UTC)

I'm guessing it would be Erhard if her actual mother said so. She did after all name Hilary. Although I always thought it was Ann you never know!

It's definitely Erhard... says it in the Most Wanted tour program on a page written by her mom, Susan Duff.

Ok, we really need a new picture

I think someone needs to edit or add a statement. The article states that A Cinderella Story made about 74,000,000, then it goes on saying that critics panned the movie, with one critic stating RAISE YOUR VOICE was bad...Was there a statement about Raise Your Voice in between there that was deleted?   • Avoid external links within the prose - so the link after "...Amy Beulah Schlemmer [1]..." should be made into a genuine citation per WP:CITE.
  • "(Susan and Bob separated in 2006.)[3]" - weird parenthesised, short sentence.
  • "theatre" vs "theater". Consistency required.
  • Deal with any [citation needed] tags.
  • Ensure all Fair Use rationales actually specify for which articles the fair use is valid.
  • Citation ref [4] (used throughout) is dead. Need a new link or a new reference for all uses.
  • A number of paragraphs are completely uncited, this needs to be resolved.
  • Place citations in accordance with WP:CITE (e.g. [6],[7],[8],[9]).
  • Razzie? Wikilink or explain.
  • "Duff recorded a cover of Brooke McClymont's "I Can't Wait" for the original television soundtrack for Lizzie McGuire in 2002 (see Lizzie McGuire (soundtrack)), and "The Tiki Tiki Tiki Room" for the first DisneyMania compilation album." - just pipe a wikilink on the first soundtrack to Lizzie McGuire (soundtrack) and remove the nasty "see...." bit. Certainly don't say "see... " twice, yuck.
  • Avoid single-sentence paragraphs, e.g. "Duff recorded new songs for her Madonna-produced film Material Girls, including a Timbaland-produced cover version of Madonna's "Material Girl" with her sister.[19]"
  • Entrepreneurship section needs to be converted to better prose, it's borderline lineprose.
  • Cite the very specific gross for Human Nature.

I believe i've addressed all issues pertaing to the GAN review. However, certain points couldnt be addressed. The following are the points and the reasons:
  • I didnt change Pt 10 because
    • i believe it is justified to be there because it is stated under "Entrepreneurship" section. The site features Duff's clothing line and dressing up Duff's doll as a preview before buying. Since the site is for selling Duff's branded clothing line, i think it should remain in that section.
  • Pt 14 regarding her relationship with three men: I believe that her personal relationships are condensed enough in 3 short paragraphs. Not to forget, these also include her feud with Lindsay Lohan and comments about virginity. Her relationship with the 3 men ,the Lindsay feud and charity causes together make up the section which i believe is condensed enough.

Apart from these two points, all the points have been addressed and i believe you should not have any problems in promoting it. Thanx to your GAN review, the article now has 88 references as compared to 62 a few days back. A few more things

Good work on addressing the above issues, and I apologize for the delay in getting back to rereview the article. I made a few corrections myself, but there are a few more things that need to be fixed further, and once they are addressed, the article shouldn't have a problem passing.

  1. Image:Posterraisevoice.jpg was added to the article and if it is to be included several things need to be fixed. The image needs to be reduced in size so that the largest size is 300 or 400px, so you can reupload the image after reducing it in an outside computer program and uploading the new version in place of the original by clicking on "Upload a new version of this file" on the image's page (Image:Hilary Duff Metamorphosis.jpg and Image:Hilary Duff Most Wanted.jpg also needs to be reduced) Additionally, a detailed fair use rationale must be added that clearly states why the posters should be included in the article. GA passed

Since the above issues were addressed for the most part, I have passed this article according to the requirements of the GA criteria. For the third point, I'd recommend stating that she said it on the television show, and then include an inline citation for a television episode, by adding TRL, the year, or any other information you can find. Besides this, the article has greatly improved since the beginning of my review. Keep improving the article, making sure that all new information is properly sourced. GA passed, Next step FA

well the article is finally a GA rated article now. The next logical step i guess would be to push for FA in the coming weeks. Regarding the points raised while the article was under GA nomination review, all the points have been addressed except for the one described above. Now i am not from US, so i dont know when and at what date Hilary said the above statements on TRL...i know that it was in 2005. if someone knows other details of the show and when she gave the statement then pls cite them in the article. meanwhile, i'll also search the net for the cite...cheers !!! KRIV incident

can we please have a mention of a incident involving Hilary, her sister Haylie, their mom and the Fox station from their hometown Houston KRIV. this incident happened while the group was leaving the Harris County Courthouse in Houston. the incident which resulted with a damage camera that belonged to KRIV (similar to the Kenny Rogers (the baseball player) attack of the DFW media that happened in 2005 at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington with KRIV's sister station KDFW, which had a camera destroyed and a camera man injured in the incident) and has footage of the incident which included Haylie screaming the word "Fuck". here's the link to the story to prove that isn't a tabloid story: http://www.myfoxhouston.com/myfox/pages/Entertainment/Detail?contentId=5279500&version=4&locale=EN-US&layoutCode=VSTY&pageId=7.2.1
