Map needs a legend[edit]

The map has two colours (other than the background white). but no explanation of their meaning.

#Herzegovina map on this page seems relevant but I haven't gone through it in detail. Chriswaterguy talk 04:56, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Forking Zahumlje[edit]

Thhhommmasss, please, there is no reason to go into such details on history before Kosače and Bosnia - we already have extensive description of Zahumlje, and especially sections on 10th, 11th 12th, and 13th centuries. To repeat that information is unnecessary WP:forking, whereas those few original sentences before your recent addition were quiet enough and only proper hatnote link to Zahumlje would suffice. On the other hand, I have expended on Kosače and 14th and 15th c. using various bio's, where bits of prose were scattered - we simply did not have this kind of description on that period in the history of Herzegovina ' in any other article including Zahumlje. You decided it is necessary to include Serbian presence before 13th c., and now we only need some Croatian editor to come seeking to include information on Croatian presence before that, and voila, we will get duplicate Zahumlje article Please, consider shortening your recent edits and include a hatnote link toward Zahumlje. ౪ Santa ౪99° 23:54, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't see the Zahumlje article. I think this article needs at least 3 good paragraphs, summarizing the Medieval period, with further links to ZahumljeThhhommmasss (talk) 02:55, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Here's the thing - you yourself must have noticed that the scope of this article is exclusively related to the context of the Bosnia and Herzegovina regional division, and not complete history of the region since coming of the Slavs. The reason for that is somewhat obvious; it's also rooted in geography and historiography which associate Herzegovina with Bosnia and Herzegovina, and with period of history when modern Herzegovina was outlined as a region we now know, by Bosnian Kotromanić's and Kosača's dynasties (14th and 15th c.), and more significantly by the Ottomans. We can, of course, mention that there was something earlier but, in my humble opinion, you have delved into details all too much on that, to the point that added information are practically unrelated to the scope of this particular article. Most of the prose you included, related to period before early 1320's, should be moved to Zahumlje where it belongs, and hatnote link should be inserted here to highlight existence of "Main (article on that subject)" and give readers clear and easier way of navigation. I implore you that you shorten your edits here yourself; I don't see a reason not to trust your judgment and ability to do it in neutral manner, so it's up to you. ౪ Santa ౪99° 05:57, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
