The result of the move request was: moved to Henry Montgomery (Liberal politician). Jenks24 (talk) 06:45, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Henry Montgomery (politician)Henry Montgomery (British politician) – He is not the only politician named Henry Montgomery. See Henry Montgomery (American politician). The current title should redirect to the disambiguation page at Henry Montgomery (which also lists an Irish MP). Using British instead of UK is more consistent with similarly disambiguated titles, and the first sentence of this article already describes him as a 'British Liberal Party politician'. --Relisted. Admittedly, I don't know much about the British/Irish situation in this case. I just saw that Donegal is in Ireland, so I assumed British would be sufficiently disambiguated. I wouldn't be opposed to either of those, but I would prefer British to UK. kennethaw88talk 01:40, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It appears that the article was created as Henry Greville Montgomery to distinguish it but was then altered to Henry Montgomery (politician). I can't see a case for changing it to Henry Montgomery (Cornish politician) as there does not seem to be any Cornish connection. Either Henry Montgomery (English politician) or Henry Montgomery (Liberal politician) would seem to be appropriate. Graemp (talk) 07:21, 19 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Geographical disambiguation won't work since Henry Conyngham Montgomery (the one being calling "Irish") was MP for Mitchell, which is in Cornwall, and Yarmouth, which is in England. DrKiernan (talk) 19:38, 30 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Do we know what party the "Irish" MP belonged to? (Tory or Whig?) -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 08:55, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Though not a party man, he was elected for the Wellesley interest, and so would not be characterized as a Whig. DrKiernan (talk) 12:09, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support move to Henry Montgomery (Liberal politician), party being our usual (third choice) disambiguator for those MPs we can't distinguish by British (first choice) or English (second choice). Fourth choice would be constituency. -- Necrothesp (talk) 16:31, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
