Change[edit]

I have removed the first paragraph reference to Harnden being a "Commander of the Wisconsin Department of the US Army". This was a change from an earlier reference to him being a commander of the Wis. Dept. of the GAR during the Civil War, and comes from confusing the "Grand Army of the Republic" - the actual army, with the "GAR", the veteran's organization that existed after the war. There was, to my knowledge, no "Wisconsin Department" in the Army that he was commander of. He merely commanded one of the state's cavalry regiments. For a time after the war, just before he died, Harnden commanded the state's "unit" or chapter of the GAR, the veteran's organization. Hope this clarifies things Akradecki 18:30, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
