Comments

I totally agree with the comment below that says deletion would be bad. It would be worse than bad; it would be a disgraceful deletion of music history.

Helter Skelter, where one of the original instigators of a type of music that swept the world. “Drum and Bass”. I can remember going to these events when no one else had heard of them. I carried on going for over ten years. So did hundreds of thousands of other people. I can only say that the person that thought it would be a good idea to delight this piece of British music history, does not know much about underground music and the way it nurtures new and exciting styles.

You can now travel this planet and hear this type of music every where, it became a massive phenomenon, and it was nurtured at the Sanctuary music venue. Helter Skelter was the largest player User : Marky-aCe--82.37.134.249 10:33, 15 April 2006 (UTC)

Deletion

Please do not delete this page i think it is an informative page that people may learn from. It discuss dance music and rave culture in the UK.

Helter Skelter is the UKs Most Popular Rave event.

  • Note that the page content is a direct copy of the linked commercial advertising site for the rave. Jgm 22:26, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

So it is... I was initially going to mark it up for NPOV attention, but if it's just straight off their site then my vote is for deletion. Bedesboy 22:29, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

Please do not delete. NPOV, but worth of inclusion. here 23:14, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
changed {{delete}} to {{npov}}. The article needs to be dramatically edited to arrive at a neutral point of view. here 23:24, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

OK, fair enough: the company seems to have some interesting history, but I strongly agree it needs an NPOV cleanup. Bedesboy 23:24, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

Most of these acid house saga`s come across as autobiographical and all starry eyed. ive been ripped off by these buggers so i`ve tried to nutralise the article a bit. I hope it reads a bit less like an advert/ SteveSircull

Re-Title

This should be titled better. I'll move to Helter Skelter (rave) later, if no objections. here 23:34, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

Neutrality

If not delleted someone realy should bring this article into line with Wikipedia's objectivity policy. While enjoying Helter Skelter myself, I think the need for an objective information base far superseedes the need to aggrandise an already legendary movement such as Helter Skelter.

Date?

I'm adding a reference to the Helter Skelter rave to the article "The KLF". What was the exact date of the Helter Skelter rave they played at? All my source says is 1989.

(And, dammit, Oxfordshire is just down the road from me... what a thing to have missed out on :( ) --kingboyk 22:33, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Helter3.jpg

Image:Helter3.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
