Differing interp?[edit]

I've seen a modern interpretation of this passage by a contemporary (e.g., television) preacher. (It was in a book.) The author said Jesus was not healing the paralytic -- instead it was more of a kick-in-the-ass admonition to "Get up! You're not really an invalid. Take up you mat and walk!" If an editor can find this interp and put it in the article it would be helpful to readers to see a different spin on the story.--S. Rich (talk) 03:48, 3 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
