Isn't there a hawthorne berry? I know I've seen a hawthorne berry drink at a vietnamese food store.

No, that's a berry of the Common Hawthorn (no "e" at the end.) the Berry is called a Haw. -Arch dude 15:37, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There is a US TV show running on the TNT network named "HawthoRNe", the capitalized RN because the principal of the show is a registered nurse (RN). It ran in 2009 and is now running in 2010. Some, like me, may try to find out about the show from Wikipedia, and there is an article, but no reference to it here. WmMBoyce (talk) 00:11, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Use of Hatwthorn (disambiguation)[edit]

per WP:DAB#Page naming conventions:

"It is acceptable, on the other hand, to create a page at "Term XYZ (disambiguation)" that redirects to the disambiguation page at "Term XYZ". This type of redirect can be used to indicate deliberate links to the disambiguation page."

I pointed this page to a particular link. I did this to simplify the life of the person or people who try to fix mis-links to the "hawthorn" page.-Arch dude 15:46, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re-added Nathaniel Hawthorne in another format[edit]

Awhile ago I added Nathaniel Hawthorne's name, not realizing that a separate disambiguation page exists for Hawthorne as a surname, so it was rightfully removed by another editor. Nevertheless I think it is reasonable to assume that the majority of readers who search for Hawthorne are looking for the article on Hawthorne the writer, and therefore it makes sense not to refer them to another disambiguation page. The disambiguation page Melville immediately refers to Herman in a style I hope will be acceptable here as well. MackyBeth
