Disambiguation

This article actually refers to two different songs, one the country standard by Scott Wiseman and the other the ballad written by Van Morrison. Two different songs

Even though an article with the Van Morrison song was created-"Have I Told You Lately"- there still seems to be some confusion about this song and the one written and recorded by Van Morrison in 1989. An entry by 76.234.146.226 was made adding Van Morrison and Rod Stewart to the list of covers in this article. There are so many songs with the same titles, I find it puzzling that so many people confuse these 2 songs because the titles are similar. Perhaps it doesn't help that so often Van Morrison's song is given the wrong title of Have I Told You Lately that I Love You? instead of Have I Told You Lately.Agadant 03:50, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Have I Told You Lately that I Love You? → Have I Told You Lately That I Love You? – The word "that" isn't capitalised in work titles AFAIK, see e.g. "Carry That Weight", "I Want It That Way" or "Somebody That I Used to Know". The Evil IP address (talk) 12:17, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Added the identifying fourth line.

These are two almost identical songs. I think any entry in wikipedia with a name that is almost identical to another should admit the problem and try to help out the user. Just mentioning the other entry often does NOT solve the problem. I can see that Wikipedia doesn't want to mention such things in the article but it seems harmless to simply provide the second line, or in this case, a repeating line. Nothing else in either article gives the user a clue as to which song we are talking about.Zipzip50 (talk) 04:36, 14 December 2018 (UTC)

First version is by Lulu Belle and Scott Wiseman

I own a record by Reader's digest which states that the first version was recorded by Lulu Bell and Scotty (Wiseman) but Gene Autry's version popularized the song. This is confirmed here: https://lyricsplayground.com/alpha/songs/h/haveitoldyoulatelythatiloveyou.html where there version is credited as dating from 1944, as a soundtrack to the movie Sing, Neighbor, Sing.
