The result of the proposal was moved to Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie. Neither the nomination, nor the oppose presents any evidence to meet any article titling standard. A search of Google News shows that the commonality of use of Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie over Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardy is overwhelming – a ratio of about 500 to 1 – including when delimiters are placed to return only English language sources. The reference to how Picardy/ie might be spelled in English, divorced from the context of this particular subject, is neither here nor there. The essential principle of WP:UE and WP:EN is not that we prefer English words or English spelling of words, but that we reflect English-language usage, as reflected by their commonality in English language reliable sources.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 14:52, 17 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nord-Pas-de-Calais-PicardyNord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie – By technical request, this article was moved to Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardy last December. I think "Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardy" is an awkward half-translation of the French "Nord-Pas-de-Calais-Picardie". I don't think there is much English usage yet, since the region was recently created. This is a temporary name for the region anyway, the definitive name will be determined officially in October 2016. Markussep Talk 16:04, 10 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
