Birthplace[edit]

Playupliverpool.com has a very detailed article that is supposedly from a joint Everton & Liverpool Programme from november 9, 1907. There it is stated that he was born in Everton. There is a forum at scottishleague.net where several users tried to establish where he was born and they don't seem to have found any evidence he was born in Scotland but seem to have found evidence that he was at least in Liverpool at the age of three months according to the 1881 census. Of course, we can't use that as a source for this but maybe we should leave it empty for a bit until we can find some contemporary sources? Alvaldi (talk) 11:03, 7 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
