- gas target needs to be used -> differential pumping. In the center thinned foil to deflect gas and fundamental.
- separation of harmonics by grating or dielectric mirror
- few cycle => high efficiency. Atto second pulses. Short pulses are generate by white light generation and compressing.

Scope[edit]
Now there is an article about the non-linear optics specialty of this, but it is a much more general topic that also applies to electronics, music and wave motion in general. So the scope here is much to narrow. Perhaps it could be renamed, or more content added. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 00:11, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
