Date of Birth[edit]

I realise IMDB also shows the date of birth as 1954, but this would mean he was in his late-20's when playing Donovan's stepfather in V. Does anyone have anything more reliable to go on? Essexmutant 16:30, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that was an error (or perhaps Hanney shaved a few decades off his age at one point). He was indeed born in 1924, as noted in his obituaries. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 17:37, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

COI declaration and pointer to sources[edit]

Hi. I'm a mostly-inactive Wikipedian, but I noticed the Template:Refimprove tag on this article. Hansford Rowe was my first cousin once removed, so I won't edit the article per WP:COI. To my eye, the references in this article seem adequate, but one additional source that might be useful is this profile from the Richmond Times–Dispatch. That, and this piece by his widow, could be used to note that he worked for several years as the "Legendary Santa" at Miller & Rhoads in Richmond (see Miller & Rhoads#Santaland and the "real" Santa Claus).
