explanation of habeas corpus[edit]

The first paragraph does not make sense to the average reader. It is a little convoluted. Could an explanation of what Habeas Corpus means be put in slightly more simple English at least. Ammi 12:30, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

done. 66.75.66.240 (talk) 14:39, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

broken source link[edit]

The link to the habeas corpus act is broken, the text is at http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Habeas_Corpus_Act_of_1679 Can someone fix this?

Done, but they should move it too, or at least have a redirect :) -- ALoan (Talk) 16:32, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Amendments[edit]

The second paragraph states: "Though amended, it remains on the statute book to this day."

It seems to me that for a document of this significance the amendments should be outlined if not detailed to show their impact on the evolution of habeas corpus law in England and beyond. 66.75.66.240 (talk) 14:29, 15 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fat lord story[edit]

I saw this on reddit and it seems a little dubious. PunxtawneyPickle (talk) 03:49, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
