Baltic Campaign (Crimean War)[edit]

Hello from Russia. Is this the same Driver that mentioned in Augustus Charles Hobart-Hampden? --Maxrossomachin (talk) 20:01, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Russia, yes this is the same ship. I've added a link to Hobart-Hampden's page. Benea (talk) 23:31, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Tnx! --Maxrossomachin (talk) 06:10, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The first global circumnavigation: 1847 or 1853?[edit]

What about Argo? She also credited for the first global circumnavigation. --Maxrossomachin (talk) 07:14, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I can make out the Argo was the first vessel that set out with the inention of making a circumnavigation. The Driver just "happened" to make a circumnavigation, presumably through orders and/or the decison of the captain. What is certain is that the Driver was the first (under any circumstances), not the Argo. DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 07:27, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
