Proper Naming[edit]

I think the correct character for "jime" or "shime" in this context (meaning choke) must be 締, not 絞. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.26.32.203 (talk) 20:00, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In modern Japan, 絞 is more common. The same is true for the Kodokan.--Hiroshi takahashi (talk) 10:32, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
