'He died vehemently in his workplace" - please clarify[edit]

I am intrigued by the sentence "He died vehemently in his workplace at the age of fifty-four". It appears it may be a translation directly from a foreign language by someone who did not have English as mother tongue. Clarification would be appreciated - is it meaning to say he died violently or suddenly and from what cause?
