Merging of B.C.G. analysis

  • yes - merge and redirect!
  • yes - shure, & redirect, at full speed :-)
  • seems like a sensible idea
  • Agree, keep Growth-Share matrix
  • They are one and the same, why keep two separate topics for the same thing.
  • I agree, the subjects are the same, though this is much more populist and as such misleading, but putting it in context will help Futureobservatory
  • I agree - It's just another name for the same thing Yotwen 07:23, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
  • So, can't someone just delete one of them and re-direct to the other?
  • Indeed merge them because this is going on to long

Done it. Yotwen 15:58, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

Should the cash cow link in the references be Cash Cow? Same goes with some of the other uncapitalised links. /pedantic VoltageX 02:36, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Diagram

Shouldnt the diagram by convention have the lowest values for both the X and Y axis at the bottom left corner, so that the stars would be on the top right not top left? --Unsigned

That is how most matrices are laid out, but for one reason or another, when the growth-share matrix was created it was done with the higher x value on the the left. This is the standard format of the growth-share matrix --Crocodile Punter 07:21, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

So the diagram shown here has the horizontal axis wrong (inverted)? I don't understand why would they add an horizontal axis that contradicts the matrix labels (or viceversa) MrFusion42 (talk) 03:46, 26 September 2010 (UTC)

Reference Need

This article desperately needs references. --Emre Kenci (talk) 09:17, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Formula

So how do you calculate market growth rate? a/b=c? I do not see any specific calculations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.24.172.106 (talk) 16:33, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

Evaluation of the Formula

There seems to be some original research in this article, claiming that the most important assets are the "cash cows". it seems to me that the intent of the authors was to point out that the most important assets are the "stars". That is because not only are they the market leaders, but that market is expanding and it is crucial to maintain market share in a growing market. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.245.236.57 (talk) 22:22, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
