What was a penny worth back then?[edit]

It's hard to compare prices back then to modern prices, but I guess it is more or less equivalent to a few pounds. So 3 pennies for the best seats doesn't seem a lot, but at that time most people spent something like 90% of their money just for food and housing. --MrBurns (talk) 11:14, 11 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
