Removing Bias[edit]

Eliminated bias issues and deleted neutrality box, simplified language and content, eliminated class lists (apart from a few selected electives, classes are the same at every WCPSS school). Added additional information about athletics alumni and simplified athletic section to highlight just high level accomplishments. Mattbman (talk) 14:45, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The road that crosses the train tracks that has those concrete barriers in front of it is Green Hope School Road. It intersects with Highway 55. It is now closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic. This is the site of the old school. (Students and locals familiar with the area will recognize this blocked-off area).

The new school is across the road from the old location, distancing it from the railroad tracks.

Citations[edit]

I have upgraded many of the citations. References should be cited as per WP:CITE and WP:FOOTNOTES. Many of the inline, external links are more appropriate as direct links (instead of citations). Let me know if there's any issue adding future citations. Nimur 08:10, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stop Adding to Marching Band[edit]

It seems like every few months I check back here and a new user with no history has added 4 paragraphs to the marching band section droning on and on. It it's always extremely editorialized and rarely contains anything of worth. This isn't the place to spread the "Marching Band is a sport" war you guys like to carry on. From a former band member, I get it. Personally I found it difficult but I wouldn't consider it a sport myself. Wherever you lie on the issue, keep the editorialized crap out of here. Marching band isn't even the largest or most successful organization at the school. It shouldn't be 75% of the article.
