Should this be included somewhere in the article? CheddarBBQ (talk) 23:25, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly not; it's not a reliable source. We can wait until songs are confirmed by HMX or Green Day themselves. --MASEM (t) 23:35, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't mean to put them in the song list. I just wondered if those rumors should be mentioned, even if it's just saying something such as "many sites reported files relating to some Green Day songs back in whenever it was. The use of the songs in this game has yet to be confirmed." CheddarBBQ (talk) 23:03, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, because it's unreliable. even if 20,000 forum posts or non-reliable tweets said something about what songs were rumored to be in the game, it'd still be a rumor until a reliable source confirmed that it was actually in the game. estemshorn (talk|contrib) 04:58, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What a shame that no reliable sources report this definitely, but until they do it cannot be added. Once these songs are confirmed (i bet they will) we can add that they were leaked on forums before the official announcement but thats about it. GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 03:27, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Artist" column[edit]

I went ahead and removed it. I see no reason to have it, seeing as all of these songs are by the same artist. Zeldafanjtl (talk) 14:34, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That makes sense. CheddarBBQ (talk) 20:44, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah sorry when I added the soundtrack table I just used the template from list of guitar hero 3 songs so it included band. GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 03:27, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Setlist Shouldn't Include DLC Songs[edit]

I don't think the setlist should include the DLC Green Day songs since all DLC, not only Green Day songs, can be played on this game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.76.208.70 (talk) 14:51, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It has not been confirmed that all other DLC can be played in GD:RB, only the existing GD tracks. --MASEM (t) 15:09, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
While we have no confirmation that songs other than those from GD will be playable, I think the article should be simliar to what was done for The Beatles: Rock Band, in that the on-disc setlist should be seperated from the list of DLC. -- TRTX T / C 23:51, 18 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Because, it might cause confusion to some people. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Estemshorn (talkcontribs) 02:50, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I interpreted it, these GD DLC songs will be included on the disc itself. I'm not sure but we shouldn't change it until we are sure. GroundZ3R0 002 (talk) 21:33, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, we can't tell right now if the songs will be on-disc, or just compatible with the game and not on the disc itself. estemshorn (talk|contrib) 00:36, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Censorship[edit]

Does anyone know anything about this? Green Day has said they refuse to censor their music, but no Rock Band game has gone over T. So has there been any news about it being censored or not? If there hasn't been, it's definitely going to be something to look out for, seeing as whichever way it goes, there will be controversy. CheddarBBQ (talk) 03:06, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say we need to wait for the ESRB to give an official rating, because we don't really have enough information to confirm either way at this time. estemshorn (talk|contrib) 04:55, 19 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, nothing would please me more than for Harmonix to realize that the occasional curse in a song isn't the end of the world. Even if GD:RB is rated 'M' and will only export the 'T'-friendly songs to Rock Band proper, it's high time. 66.207.184.38 (talk) 22:49, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Plenty of their songs have been censored both on TV (music videos) and their CD singles. Good Riddance is missing the "Fuck" at the beginning of the track on the CD single. Why would this be different, especially if the songs are going to be exportable to the other RB games which don't contain curses? 89.16.76.37 (talk) 15:05, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is purely my speculation, but there's no chance of releasing GD:RB without censorship. There are far to many teenage fans for Harmonix to allow the game to have it get an M rating. KearF (talk) 18:18, 22 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Songlist[edit]

New Songs have been announced: http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/107/1076651p1.html I don't know how to edit the table --SkySilver (talk) 12:54, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Release date, pricing, additional info...[edit]

Parse this as you see fit.

  • 47 tracks
  • June 8, 2010 release date
  • $60 on PS3/360
  • $50 on Wii
  • $70 360/PS3 bundle (US/Canada only) featuring additional DLC/free export.
  • Export has a fee attached, reservation at GameStop waives the fee.

Enjoy. -- TRTX T / C 14:20, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Pretty sure the Plus version just includes the existing DLC, not six additional tracks.[1][2] I removed the blurb about it from the article; it doesn't seem to be a significantly different version (free export, existing DLC, different packaging), though I'm not opposed to it being restored. EVula // talk // // 18:37, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
(as an aside, I can't wait for this; the 47 songs for $60 is still cheaper than $93.53 for 47 DLC tracks...)

I'm sure this can't be added, as it's not "official," but the full front and back cover art has leaked, and lists a bunch more songs: http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/4435/gdrbwiifinal.jpg 68.229.248.37 (talk) 22:35, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, can't add it to the article based on that, but it's certainly nice to see. Thanks. :) EVula // talk // // 23:27, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sound track source?[edit]

Play.com suggests that 2 full albums (Dookie and American Idiot) will be on disc. It also states that 21st Century Breakdown will be "completed" with the disc if the user has bought both Green Day DLC packs. -- TRTX T / C 21:21, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Vendor site so already iffy - but it also reads like copytext on the back of the box, thus technically official. I'd rather wait and see. --MASEM (t) 22:47, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I will note that a lot of articles have popped up from reliable sources that suggest the albums, but when you read between the lines, they all point back to the Play vendor site in the UK. So until we get a non-vendor original source, we cannot state these for sure. (I'm 99% its right however). --MASEM (t) 05:09, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Free Export with Pre-order at Gamestop[edit]

It might be time to already add a Promotion section, as it has been announced that people who pre-order Green Day: Rock Band at Gamestop get a free code to export all 47 on-disc tracks with use for the main Rock Band games. source eSTeMSHORN (T/C) 23:41, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

We could also have more about the "Plus" version of the game, as it's only mentioned twice (off-hand) in the article. EVula // talk // // 14:36, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

American Idiot[edit]

Has the entire American Idiot album been confirmed anywhere? The attached source only shows the 5 songs on the preview build they played at GDC and PAX. Ferrantino (talk) 13:51, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I had the ref after the wrong sentence. Its ref 12 (the one from G4TV), a video interview that confirms Am. Idiot as completely on disc. --MASEM (t) 14:04, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Cool beans, wish he'd let them talk about it at PAX. Here's to hoping Dookie's the other full album. Ferrantino (talk) 15:00, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd be surprised if it wasn't, especially given the source from play.com that it will be (a pity that we can't find a more reliable source about that, though). EVula // talk // // 15:05, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ahem. http://music-mix.ew.com/2010/04/09/green-day-rock-band-track-list/ --Maxamegalon2000 15:18, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Perfect, will add in a moment. --MASEM (t) 15:27, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Final setlist (with joined songs)[edit]

Here. From the looks of this, there are 3 "joined" songs, the rest standalone. -- TRTX T / C 18:43, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Total Sales for this game?[edit]

can we have the total sales?, i think it surpasses Beatles Rock Band game.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chevron24 (talkcontribs) 02:56, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

NPD data will likely be out mid -July for this. --MASEM (t) 03:00, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Green Day Rock Band on other consoles? PSP?[edit]

Can they release Green Day Rock band on PSP console?Chevron24 (talk) 12:42, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

They could make a version of it for potable release, but it's highly unlikely, they'd of said something about it by now. KearF (talk) 04:22, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Uno! Dos! Tre![edit]

Why isn't "Oh Love" compatible with this game? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.5.247.217 (talk) 00:10, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
