Untitled[edit]

In zoology, a graminivore is an herbivorous animal that feeds primarily on plants of the family Poaceae, better known as the "true" grasses. As such, horses, cattle, capybara, hippopotamuses, grasshoppers, geese, and giant pandas would be examples of graminivores.

Examples of plants of the family Poacae are: bamboo, sugarcane, wheat, grass, reeds and a few other plants.

Graminivore (not to be confused a granivore) is an eating behaviour.

The way I see it this is a fake word just like frienamies. If you eat meat your a carnivore, if you eat plants your a herbivore/vegitarian, if you eat anything your an omnivore its as simple as that. Pyrolord777 (talk) 21:07, 5 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
