First Article Questions[edit]

Linking for Mark Tuan So apparently this members individual page was deleted and I'm not sure if I am souppossed to go through and take out all the links that not redirect to the GOT7 article or just leave them in. Unless the GOT7 article takes them out or someone tells me I should I'm not going to mess with it since I expect this to become an issue.

Videography vs. Filmography[edit]

I decided to make a videography after looking at american pop artist pages for both Katy Perry and Lady Gaga. It seemed like the standard was to make a videography for artist pages that included all important works from films to music videos. However, it has recently come to my attention that some people feel things like dramas, movies and tv shows are solely to be put in a filmography. I disagree and feel it would only add clutter to separate the two. Also since a precedent has been set in the more established pages I intend to continue the trend of placing the filmography withing the videography article

Hi 3family6 I'm going to try to move the discussion to the talk section here. Anyways after looking around as far as I can see many articles approach where to place music videos differently. What is probably right is having both a filmography and a videography..but with just 4 music videos creating a whole seperate page for that seems ridiculous. What we I thought we could do is move that section and it's references into the main article somewhere, what do you think? Peachywink (talk) 07:17, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Also I want to apologize if I was rude before. I have 1 very bad habit which is I get upset quickly and then get over it even quicker. Peachywink (talk) 07:19, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Should This be Included?[edit]

Bambam's movie appearance The member bambam appeared in the 2012 Hong Kong film "The Fairy Tale Killer". He had a significant role as the lead character's autistic son. The reason I am debateing adding it is that despite the fact that he even appears in the films trailer I can't find any articles that list him in the cast or even figure out what his characters name was. I am hesitant to add it since I can't find a good reference source.

A song for you season 3 appearance I included this appearance in the list because unlike other kpop group interview shows this one is also shown online on dramafever. I'm not sure if this was the right call to make since I excluded other interview programs but I felt the additional online release of this one raised it to noteworthy status. Sort of like how snl musical guest appearances are included on american music artists' videographies . Trying to create an accurate kpop videography that isn't just a list dump is very difficult when I'm also a fan of the group so this can be taken out if others disagree with me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peachywink (talkcontribs) 08:44, 13 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Weekly Idol It's probably the most popular kpop group interview shows and might be the only one with it's own wiki page...but it doesn't fit any of the other standards. I need opinions on yes or no for keeping it because I don't want to decided this on my own. Peachywink (talk) 01:32, 15 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Win: Whose next? There was and still is a lot of buzz about this episode since seeing two of the big three k-pop companies have their rookies battle each other is considered a big deal. It helped gain interest in the jyp rookies before they debuted, all 4 members representing JYP in the dance battle are now in Got7. The online official video of that episode on the MNET YouTube channel has over double the views of the episodes both before and after it. It is nearly at 4 million views currently.Peachywink (talk) 05:25, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The JJ project dilemma[edit]

JR. and JB debuted first as JJ project and later became part of got7 with JJproject now being called a sub unit. I have made the decision to keep the drams but am unsure on if I should also add in the variety shows they did as part of JJ project since, unlike the dramas, the variety programs are never mentioned anymore. The shows are TvN's the romantic & Idol, and JJ projects MTV diary which has 44 ten minute episodes. Thoughts anyone?Peachywink (talk) 17:47, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jackson Dateing Alone[edit]

Someone added, from an IP, Jackson's appearance on dating alone and Happy together. They were actually good enough to include references but since happy together's was a link to a fansub it had to be removed plus the show wasn't an episode fully focused on Jackson and he is not a full time cast member either. Those are my usual requirements for keeping variety. But the second dating alone appearance had a somewhat okay reference, not a great one but they tried, and there has been a bit of talk about some of the things he said on the program. Should it stay or be removed? I will look for more references for it until I get a consensus here. Thank you.Peachywink (talk) 18:56, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

for the notes my decision was not to keep it because there wasn't enough articles on it just fans rumbling online.Peachywink (talk) 20:53, 30 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dead links[edit]

Okay so two of the links are dead because apparenlty the newspaper might have discontinued it's english language k-pop page...or it's just down. Trying to contact the site to figure out which it is and see if there is anyway to find those interviews. Really wish I had known before how to properly cite. Peachywink (talk) 14:03, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor helped me fint the editor in a web archive yay! We lost the accompanying pictures it seems but the interview is what was important. :D Peachywink (talk) 06:15, 2 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jackson's variety appearances[edit]

I am only keeping those appearance on there for now, to show his popularity burst during the middle/ end of the group's debut year. The page does not need to add anymore of his or any other members appearances and might not even keep those three. I simply thought with prose it could add insight into the groups moves towards establishing themselves as a recognizable name in k-pop in their debut year. I simply got too busy to write the prose but still want to do so.Peachywink (talk) 07:04, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Have you got the boys of got7[edit]

Because that article is such a good reference I went to look at it recently but the archive claimed there was a bot block, it's back up today but in case that does ever happen again in the future I am including the writers info here that was on the article. That way it would be possible to contact them about the article. Kang Soo Jin (kanti@khan.co.kr) - again this was on the article and I'm just including it here as a precaution.Peachywink (talk) 13:09, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Season 3 Real Got7[edit]

It was just announced but I do not feel it should be added here until at least one episode is up on the official YouTube channel. Peachywink (talk) 14:13, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The fanclub thailand[edit]

It's a group show so it will definitely be added when it starts airing so long as proper references can be found...having trouble finding any at the moment. :/ Peachywink (talk) 05:02, 3 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Just right romanization spelling[edit]

The current romanization in the table is " Ttak joah". I am certain that Ttak is spelled right due to numerous cross referencing I did while trying to determine the correct romanization. However, I have no clue how "joah" should be spelled, as I found way too many variations such as joha, choha, or choa. So if anyone thinks they know which is right please say something. Thanks! Things that are NOT okay to have in this videography.[edit]

1. Unsourced, or poorly sourced TV appearances.- TV appearances need to have real news sites that mention them, it can be a Korean site but it needs to be a real one. It can't be Soompi or allkpop as they both do not meet Wikipedia's criteria for reliable sources. It also can not be the foreign language equivalent of those sites. The way you can check this is by going to a sites disclosure page or the "about the site" page and anything that mentions the site does not guarantee that the articles published on it are accurate eliminates it as being a usable source.

2. Individual appearances for members who have pages. Or anything for JJ project. - JJ project, Jackson, JB, Bambam, and Jinyoung all have their own pages. The solo activities for these members and the group activities of JJ project can only be put on those pages. This page is only for got7 activities or for the members who do not have their own page yet....which reminds me that I should probably add Yugyeoms work for hit the stage on here but I am too tired to do it today.

3. Broken tables. If you make an edit to a table you must always check to make sure you did it right. If you didn't and there is a line missing or something not in the right box then you can either fix it or undo your edit. However, just leaving it often creates cascading problems on the table. I have seen tables so badly broken by poor edits that they were unreadable and beyond the point of saving. The page editor for one such video table was given warnings to fix it, but they gave up on it and instead agreed to delete the page after saving the info on the table. Let's all try to not let that happen here.
