I changed the article to state debranching enzymes instead of enzyme. There are cases where one enzyme does both functions, and cases where it is two separate enzymes. If someone with more knowledge can re-write the article to distinguish these two cases, it would be appreciated. Most patients exhibit GDE defiency in both liver and muscle (TypeIIIa), although 15% of patients have retained GDE in muscle while having it absent from the liver (Type IIIb) (This quote is in the article yet the link in the references doesn’t seem to mention this quote)
