Neologism[edit]

Yes, the term 'Globally Integrated Enterprise' is a neologism, but it's a term used to describe a concept for which no alternative expression has yet been proposed. I don't think it's helpful for Wikipedia to guess at the intentions of the author of this article or the creator of the term.

Palmisano published his article in Foreign Affairs, a fairly highbrow magazine, and has presented the concept in business school lectures. It has attracted serious discussion among business school professors, as well as serious criticism on blogs etc, one of which I have listed in the 'References' section.

Wikipedia has a number of articles on the whole globalisation and offshoring debate, most of them written from a social, economic or consumer viewpoint. I believe there's also a need for an article that examines the issues from the corporation's viewpoint. Thegn 05:10, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just discovered this article, and had concerns that it might qualify for speedy deletion as well. Since the article is already past that step, the next is to find sources to show notability of the topic. --Ronz 16:26, 28 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
