Contested deletion[edit]
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because he appears to be a figure in the Second World War who sacrificed his life, playing a notable role in the Italian resistance, at least according to the wikipedia article on him. If he was notable enough to be commemorated on a postage stamp, then I would presume that he is notable enough to appear in wikipedia. At least anyone who encounters that stamp should be entitled to discover what is know about him and why he received that honour. There is an Italian and a French article about him, so I see no reason why an English article should be excluded.
