Birth name[edit]

Given that he was adopted as a young adult by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, I'm pretty sure "Tomasi" was not part of his birth name. The two were related by birth, but they were pretty distant relatives and I don't think he was descended from the Tomasis in the male line. Does anyone have anything definitive on this? The Last Leopard (Q120066204) consistently refers to him prior to his adoption as just "Gioacchino Lanza". - Jmabel | Talk 17:29, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
