Abuse[edit]

I have removed the 'abuse' template, because it is highly POV. Of the three practices mentioned, none are universally recognised as abuse. FGC is widely considered abusive in the Western world, but not in countries in which it is practiced. Circumcision is considered abusive by anti-circumcision activists, but few others, and sexual reassignment surgery is not generally considered abusive by anyone, as far as I know. Tasc readded the abuse template about a month ago [1]. Has there been any other discussion of this? I'm a bit confused as to why he said, "restore page after vandalism," when nothing of the sort seems to have been committed. --Emufarmers 18:56, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I hadn't noticed. I've removed it again. Unfortunately some editors have the mistaken belief that edits with which they disagree constitute vandalism. Jakew 19:01, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed; it was still listed on the template, so I removed it from there too. --Emufarmers 20:17, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect?[edit]

Wouldn't it make more sense to just redirect this page to genital modification and mutilation? Jakew (talk) 13:50, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
