Pics or GTFO[edit]

I think it would be important for the article to have a few photographs of geek girls; text only goes so far when talking about somthing that often comes with such heavy aesthetic preconceptions like the expression "geek girl".

ps: The acronymed expletive in the title is just to be humorous, no offense intended. --TiagoTiago (talk) 16:26, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Would it be offensive and unwarranted to label random girls as geek girls, as geek used to be pejorative and use their picture without permission? Redirect to this, as a woman with any semblance of intelligence is rare: ↣ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geek_girl#Fake_geek_girl. 107.190.10.79 (talk) 00:26, 8 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information to possibly include[edit]

"Geekgirl" is a trademark in Australia, in spite of it being a popular appellation in the public domain for several years beforehand (Usenet's poetry newsgroups..) Its owner enforces a proprietary standard on the term. http://www.zdnet.com/claws-out-over-geekgirl-trademark-1339303290/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.44.151.176 (talk) 14:10, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
