Rumors[edit]

Rumors don't belong in articles of living people, this talk page isn't very active so im assuming removing the rumors would be fine. Woods01 (talk) 17:15, 13 June 2009 (UTC) She had another kid at the age of 68[reply]

{{edit semi-protected}} Please add that Gayle King was married to attorney Bill Bumpus from 1982 until they divorced in 1992.

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Adrian J. Hunter(talkcontribs) 05:35, 13 February 2011

The fact that Gayle King was married to Bill Bumpus from 1982 to 1993 (an attorney and an assistant attorney general in Connecticut) is hardly controversial and readily verifiable form multiple reliable sources on the web alone.

Relevance - Zirinsky Announcement[edit]

Since Gayle King is a morning show host, and has before been tasked with announcing internal developments in the news division, is it relevant or encyclopedia-worthy to mention her having happened to be the person who mentioned Zirinsky appointment on air? Especially since the news actually broke the night before? I would argue that it should be removed, or added to a new paragraph about King's announcements/statements on air. Snow shoveling remark[edit]

I watch CBS Morning Show regularly and likely will continue. But I have to say Gayle King either needs to 'get out' more or keep her opinions and casual comments carefully chosen. The very notion that she has never shoveled snow, shows her out of touch connection to over half of Americans who reach for a shovel, broom, snow blower or plow during winter from 3-7 months depending on geography. But the real slam is when she claimed her former husband always shoveled so therefore she didn't have to IMPLYING that men are only capable or qualified to care for the snow removal needs in a family. Come out to Montana Gayle, drop the entourage, and put your boots, hat, gloves, and down parka and see how we all live and LOVE here in the mountain state. But please don't move here. We have enough transplants and entertainment stars. Get to know America west of the Mississippi! I welcome your visit to Bozeman MT. Lisa Prugh 76.75.13.177 (talk) 15:52, 8 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Actual birthplace: Chattanooga, Tennessee[edit]

Was watching Chattanooga local TV news (WDEF) during which Gayle King herself, in her own words, told a Chattanooga reporter that she was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This NY Times article confirms. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/10/31/business/media/gayle-king-has-the-spotlight-all-to-herself.html BillVol (talk) 11:05, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hair[edit]

Gayle, you can save so much time and energy by just going natural with a low, sculpted haircut. You just need a great barber or stylist! No products to buy! You have a wonderful face for the look. Use a good mascara and get rid of the nuisance fake lashes! 2600:1700:9010:2160:C958:E2BA:6F26:A25 (talk) 01:05, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

June nineteenth[edit]

I’m personally very happy that June nineteenth was made a holiday, due to its very historical meaning. But, if true, I understand that you made a comment on your show that the only one who had off on June nineteenth was a white person, and all of us are black and are not off. Last I remember if something is so important, as that day should be, then you request the day off, if your company is not closed for that day. National Holocaust remembrance day is not a national holiday, and Holocaust was in Europe, not America. But it should be made a day optional to not work with an excusal for school as well because of the many Jews in America. As for being made a holiday, that would be more for Germany/Europe to do 2603:7000:201:4500:3DA0:2F2F:2E53:D9D (talk) 11:39, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
