Text and/or other creative content from this version of Wikstroemia retusa was copied or moved into Gampi with this edit on 16:57 9 July 2012. The former page's history now serves to provide attribution for that content in the latter page, and it must not be deleted as long as the latter page exists.

History of page[edit]

In the course of today:

I renamed Gampi to Wikstroemia retusa, following a statement on what was then Talk:Gampi. (This leaving Gampi as a redirect to Wikstroemia retusa).
I then explored further, found several other systematic names associated with "Gampi" or "Ganpi", and expanded the article.
I asked for help at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Plants#Gampi
User:Lavateraguy weighed in with helpful taxonomical expertise and upgraded the article substantially
I decided that Gampi should be more than a redirect to W. retusa, and copied the content from an earlier version to re-create the article on the paper-making fibre, at Gampi. I'm about to cleanup/expand it on those lines, and will remove irrelevant stuff from Wikstroemia retusa.
