Gamlingay Cinques Common → Gamlingay Cinques – This article is about Gamlingay Cinques nature reserve, which is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. The Wildlife Trust page on the site at [1] shows it as Gamlingay Cinques, which currently redirects on Wikipedia to the village of Gamlingay. There is another article on the site at Gamlingay Meadows, but I assume that I will have to ask separately for this to be deleted. Dudley Miles (talk) 12:29, 30 January 2017 (UTC) Relisted. Comment, leaning oppose at the moment as far as I can see, Gamlingay Cinques is a village, and the common is a feature within that village. As we don't have an article for the village, it redirects to Gamlingay, which includes a mention of Gamlingay Cinques. The link to the Wildlife Trust page above also seems to call it "Cinques Common" at one point, so I don't think this is a straightforward move, and should be discussed here. Support as nominator. I cannot find any evidence that Gamlingay Cinques is a village. It is referred to in the Gamlingay article and on the website of the Gamlingay and District History Society at [2] as an outlying area of Gamlingay. This is the only information I can find on Gamlingay Cinques as an area, so although it obviously does exist in this form, it does not appear to be notable and there do not appear to be any reliable sources for an article on it. Gamlingay Cinques as a nature reserve (also known as Cinques Common) does have a reliable source, the Wildlife Trust web page at [3]. Another source about Gamlingay Cinques as a nature reserve is an article in the local newspaper at [4]. The author refers to having lived in "the Cinques", and Gamlingay Cinques as a Registered Village Green managed by the Wildlife Trust. I therefore think that the Gamlingay Cinques article should be about the nature reserve, but mention that it is a name for the area, citing the History Society web page. I cannot find any reliable sources for keeping the existing name, Gamlingay Cinques Common. Dudley Miles (talk) 20:52, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
