Who's who?[edit]

Someone asked whether Rennie was the engineer or canal? This was the engineer - all the second batch were named after engineers: Brunel, Telford, etc.

As for Oscar, the first batch were all world leaders so (I am pretty sure!) that this refered to King Oscar I of Sweden. Geof Sheppard 07:33, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
