Regular vs. Other Masonry

This article is extremely biased towards so-called "Regular" masonry without any reference to it as such. It needs to be expanded to cover other branches as well. If no objection I will remove the "no atheists" part unless someone edits it to specifically refer to Regular Masonry. Truther2012 (talk) 15:39, 1 May 2013 (UTC)

Dumping information

Recently a large chunk of information was dumped into the article. The info contained zero sources, was highly biased and badly-written. I am all for expanding the article, but please remain within WP guidlines, specifically source everything, remove biases and by no means try to use this as a recruitment tool. Further, try adding information in processable chunks, so others may review and edit them on their own merit. At this point, I feel there is no other option but to revert the most recent edit. Actually the information was not "dumped" a lot of time went into that edit and it was well intentioned, though I admit not perfect. I see has been erased completely. There were sources included, but perhaps not properly cited. It would be nice if you could have taken that information and improved upon it rather than slash and burn. The section on notable Canadian masons was quite limited, so I added the names found on the Grand Lodge of Canada in the Province of Ontario website. It will need some cleanup and red links turned blue, but it's an update. TimothyPilgrim (talk) 17:39, 17 October 2018 (UTC)

The liberal movement was represented in the early twentieth century by two lodges founded by the Grand Orient of France: the lodge and the lodge Emancipation Strength and Courage. They had to close their work in 1928 under the civil and religious persecution. It took until the 1970s to see the creation of other lodges as Great Mixed Lodge of Quebec, the lodges of the Grand Orient of France, the jurisdiction of the Canadian Human Rights, the Egyptian Rite of Memphis-Mizraim, and then to late 1980s, the Great feminine Lodge of France and the Grand Lodge of France. Liberal masonry as a whole now has several hundred members.

The Masonic Order The Joint International Human Right has a Canadian Federation which currently has six mixed lodges working in English, Spanish and French. The first lodge of Human Right, "Liberté", was founded in Montreal in 1976.

The Symbolic Grand Lodge of Canada. Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Mizraim is French. Although there are male and female dressing rooms, they do not work in the mix.

The Grand Orient of Canada was born in 1992 following a vote at the lodge Montcalm New World, which was affiliated to the Grand Orient of France. A new lodge called Emancipation was created then. The lodge Emancipation is mixed, secular, and works in "French Rite."

John Campbell, 9th Duke of Argyll

This website makes a passing claim that John Campbell, 9th Duke of Argyll (Governor-General of Canada 1878-83) was a Freemason, but the Clan Campbell Society, which chronicles the clan, makes no mention in his biography. Anybody have any further info? TimothyPilgrim (talk) 16:34, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
