Origin of Freddy[edit]

I once heard he was actually originally from Canada and was actually still used there up until a few years ago. I can't remember which city though - it would have been a local TV station or some sort. 218.102.23.80 11:18, 4 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I remember seeing Freddy on Western Australian TV back in the 1970s - in the same form and with the same sounds. I always assumed we licensed (stole?) him from the BBC. I can confirm that he was definitely on HK TV from at least the 1990s (in 2D form) and is still on HK TV in 3D form today. Stepho talk 15:51, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
