Occasional confusion with another entertainment industry personality whose birth name was Frank Pacelli[edit]

On September 5, 2008, a Find a Grave entry for Frank Pacelli was appended under "External links" and the years "(1934 - 1999)" were added to the lead sentence along with addition [under "DEFAULTSORT:Pacelli, Frank"] of Category:1934 births and Category:1999 deaths. The Find a Grave entry indicated the birth date as "May 14, 1934" and the death date as "Aug. 1, 1999", with the gravestone photo depicting the inscription, "FRANK A. PACELLI / AKA TONY DIAMOND / 1934 - 1999 / US ARMY / BELOVED HUSBAND / FATHER, GRANDFATHER".

The text within the Find a Grave entry states, "Director. Worked on stage and television in the 1960s and 1970s. Occasionally worked under the name Tony Diamond." One of the photographs included with the entry is captioned, "Bernadette Flynn (center), actor Macdonald Carey (left) and director Frank Pacelli in 1953." That photo, which is from the TV daytime drama Hawkins Falls, Population 6200 depicts cast members Bernardine Flynn (not "Bernadette Flynn"), Macdonald Carey and the show's director, Frank Pacelli.

The Hawkins Falls photo, however, actually belongs in another Find a Grave entry — Frank Timothy Pacelli, "Birth: Aug. 23, 1924 Death: Mar. 7, 1997", whose Internet Movie Database (IMDb) entry uses those same vital dates and describes him as a child actor on radio and, subsequently, a television director. The January 1941 cast photograph of the radio daytime drama Girl Alone depicts a teenage cast member named Frankie Pacelli, thus indicating that, at age 16 (born August 1924), he was still performing on radio.

As for Frank Pacelli whose gravestone name is indicated as "FRANK A. PACELLI", the Los Angeles Times obituary dated "August 04, 1999" announces the death of, "Tony Diamond, 65, longtime USO performer and founder of BRAVO, a nonprofit group serving veterans. Born Frank Anthony Pacelli in Paterson, N.J., Diamond served in the Army during the Korean War, using his talents as a comedian to entertain soldiers."

The Tony Diamond vital dates, "(1934–1999)", remained as part of the Frank Pacelli Wikipedia entry from September 5, 2008 until being revised on the date of this writing to "(August 23, 1924 – March 7, 1997)".
