Reliable Sources...[edit]

Let's get some. The only possibly reliable source that I can see that refers to the subject of the article is the one from 9wsyr.com. The Register is about as reliable as a Papparazi rag. Scribd.com allows anyone to upload any PDF without any editorial or peer verification. WP:RS needs to be adhered to.--200.166.188.194 (talk) 11:24, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It'd be great if there was an official government website or a newspaper's official site somewhere that had the legal documents on the case on it, but I just checked and didn't find any, so this works out fine. I find it unlikely someone would upload pages of legal documents, and change something around to mess with us. Dream Focus 11:47, 19 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There's PACER, the N.D. Cal. page for which is at [1]. Registration is required; there is nominally a $0.10/page fee, but if you keep under $15 per calendar quarter, fees are waived and reset to zero for the next quarter. TJRC (talk) 22:12, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Update?[edit]

The last line of this article is future tense about two years ago, the page should be updated with the results of the case. I would do it myself but I'm too lazy to Google for it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bumblebritches57 (talkcontribs) 10:12, 29 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the footnote reference in the last line about the $15 settlement checks links to this very same article as proof of its veracity. Nice.— Preceding unsigned comment added by DaveDecot (talkcontribs) 03:56, 13 August 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.2.26.231 (talk) [reply]

Removing COI template[edit]

I'm removing] the {{COI}} that I placed there in 2013. The basis for it was that a plaintiff's attorney on the case, Jonathan.Jaffe, had been editing this article to promote himself and his involvement. He's been quiet for the last few years, though, so I think it can be removed. TJRC (talk) 19:28, 22 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
