Definite Parallel[edit]

I agree, there is a complete parallel between the plotline of this film and GTA San Andreas. There is a genuine value in clarifying this parallel in the article. ---Backbeatlistener

Average Grosser?[edit]

What's that suppose to mean? Is this some kind of a joke or this is a quote from review or something?

Yeah, I'm confused by this as well... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.115.17.228 (talk) 00:07, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

GTA San Andreas Reference?[edit]

Does anyone else see a parallel with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas? Think about it. San Andreas involves a guy (CJ), his sister (Kendl), and his brother (Sweet) taking down a gang that killed their mother. They also have a late brother. Four siblings. Dead mother. Vengence. I would personally classify the movie as "ripoff", but that's just me. --Zeromaru 00:49, 26 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This is a REMAKE of a movie released long before GTA. Get your facts straight.

Umm and also the Four Brothers in this movie didn't have a sister, unless you count the mexican fucking that black guy thier sister. And plus GTA:SA is only about CJ taking revenge on his mom for like the first 3 missions.

Dude, the first three missions? Everything in the [story] is an attempt to find out who killed his mother. And at the end, you kill the three people responsible for it. Duh. And also, I read about the movie that Four Brothers is "based" on ... They sound very little alike, in that 1. no father is ever mentioned, 2. it's in the wild west, and 3. there is no ranch. Completely different movies, and all ... But whatever. My opinion ...

And your opinion means absolutely nothing. Let's keep the talk page clean of any other off topic material. If you want to talk about GTA, go find a forum or something. Xacidx 21:15, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

um, just like to point out that there are other parallels with GTA. One of the brothers has a relationship with a latino woman, whos brother dislikes him. Similarities anyone? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.169.200.191 (talk) 12:32, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Synopsis[edit]

Why is there a body count when we actually need a synopsis? Is there even a need for a body count? --Steven 02:32, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Sons of Katie Elder[edit]

I've noticed the close similarities between this, and an old John Wayne film, The Sons of Katie Elder. Many of the plot twists and characters seem very similar. Can anyone verify this? Can it be sourced?--Patrick Ѻ 11:37, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was surprised when I read the plot summary of Katie. This has some similarities, but it doesn't seem to qualify for "remake." Is there a source for that statement? Darkfrog24 (talk) 19:47, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If there is no confirmed source that this movie is a remake of Katie, then why is it stated here still? Shouldn't information on wikipedia be first verified, then posted, instead of being posted until proven false? If there is no source then I will go ahead and delete it, until that person who said it was a remake shows some facts. 75.18.171.166 (talk) 05:38, 3 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In the director's commentary on the DVD, Singleton explicitly says he did NOT watch The Sons of Katie Elder, though the film was influenced by other westerns of the '60s and '70s. Tea&magpies (talk) 16:54, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Remake[edit]

I dont think Big B is a remake of this.--Abhishek Jacob (talk) 11:46, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
