Date format[edit]

I propose changing the dates from "12/1/Y" to "1/12/Y". Cons: The Manual of Style suggests "Retaining the existing format".

Pros: The latter example is preferred outside of USA. This is an example of the IFRS, not GAAP. The Manual of Style also suggests "Strong national ties to a topic" and elaborates: "In the early stages of writing an article, the format chosen by the first major contributor to the article should be used, unless there is reason to change it on the basis of strong national ties to the topic."
