A problem with figures ?[edit]

Hi User:Anthonyhcole, I can't make the figures right:

  • About two thirds of the total body water of humans is held in the cells, mostly in the cytosol
  • the intracellular compartment contains on average about 8 litres of fluid
  • In the average male (70 kg) human body, the interstitial space has approximately 10.5 litres of fluid.

If the imterstital fluid is 10.5 and less than a third of the total, then the intracellular which contains two thirds should contain more than 20 liters and not 8. Am i missing something ?
