Requested move 19 December 2015[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: moved. Much like the final battle of the film, it's snowing here. Jenks24 (talk) 12:46, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Finn (FN-2187)Finn (Star Wars) – Much more likely search term and much more natural for a parenthetical disambiguator. The more obscure numerical designator does not make a good disambiguator at all. oknazevad (talk) 22:27, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support Makes sense. There aren't any other particularly notable Finns in the Star Wars universe (though there might be some Finns). clpo13(talk) 22:30, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, like with Rey, I thought there would be other articles (such as Finn from Adventure Time for example, or just the common name Finn). I figured his stormtrooper designation (which was his referred to "name" before Finn) would be ok, but I'm not against this change either. Skykiller93 (talk) 01:33, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There's also a Star Wars (Expanded Universe character) named Finn, see this link: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Finn_Galfridian But as he's not known to the cinema universe, there shouldn't be too much confusion. Skykiller93 (talk) 01:40, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, he's much more obscure, has a last name, and does not have his own article. oknazevad (talk) 14:46, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

First mission[edit]

His first mission was not to retrieve droid, they only figured out about droid during the mission. Should it be "retrieve information" instead? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.58.218.78 (talk) 09:18, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yep. Fixed. oknazevad (talk) 14:46, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 8 January 2016[edit]

J. J. Abrams stated that he purposely withheld Finn's last name and background in The Force Awakens, saving it for Episode VIII and Episode IX.[1] 46.50.48.3 (talk) 09:33, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
