"adult children" definition?[edit]

Wikipedia has no page defining "adult children" and I have not found a clear definition searching elsewhere :

outofthefog.website says:

Adult Children - An adult child is a term commonly used to describe any grown adult who was exposed to emotional, physical or sexual abuse as a child.

definitions.net says:

Children who have reached maturity or the legal age of majority.
