Editing by subject of article[edit]

For reference, I note that this article appears to have been edited a number of times by the subject (under the username Fergusnicoll and perhaps under some BBC ips). Although in principle this contravenes Wikipedia:Autobiography (which states one shouldn't edit articles about oneself), as there seems to be nothing controversial or promotional about the article, the matter should probably be overlooked.

A reminder to editors of this article with a conflict of interest: please avoid editing articles about yourself in future.
