Clarification on Ida Wells[edit]

So this Ferdinand L. Barnett was not the same Ferdinand Lee Barnett who was married to Ida Wells? Did Ida Wells not write for this Ferdinand L. Barnett's newspaper then? • Freechild | talk to me 18:01, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Correct, two different people, both journalists, cousins, different spouces, different birthdates, etc. The Alfreda Duster WPA interview (Alfreda Duster (1904-1983), Chicago, Illinois. Interviewed by: Marcia McAdoo Greenlee, March 8 and 9, 1978. p 20 Accessed March 7, 2016 at http://pds.lib.harvard.edu/pds/view/45168262?n=32&printThumbnails=no) covers the family a bit on page 20 (the citation and link takes you there). I was confused at first, too. Smmurphy(Talk) 00:31, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! FYI, I'm thanking you specifically in my new book called North Omaha History: Volume Three. Your work here almost makes me want to come back - almost. • Freechild | talk to me 03:53, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You are welcome. Good luck with your book and feel free to keep in touch on and off wiki. Smmurphy(Talk) 18:02, 28 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
