Is the phrase "hot" to do with personal opinion or with the name of the style? because if "hot" is personal opinion it must be removed. Steven Kovax 07:00, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hot is not personal opinion, it has to do with the level of output of the pickup (usually in millivolts). It should not be removed, since the term "hot" is valuable information about the guitar and its pickups. Hot pickups will overdrive a tube amp better than "non-hot" pickups. Temporal[edit]

I've replaced the {{when}} tag on the list of models. As written, the topic doesn't explain when the various models were specifically made. "Throughout the years" is too weaselly and inspescific for an encyclopedia article. References should be provided t to describe the production runs of these variants. -- Mikeblas (talk) 02:25, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Endorsements[edit]

I've again reomved the list of "notable players" as this list is indiscriminate and unreferenced. Per WP:BLP, material about living people must be sourced. Commercial endorsements are something that should be referenced, even if it were possible to demonstrate that they were materially relevant to the topic of the article. -- Mikeblas (talk) 02:25, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
